A Pre-Owned Chevrolet Bolt: Now’s the Time
September 16 2022,
The Chevrolet Bolt has been through some recent rough patches due to battery issues, but those have mostly been ironed out of every Bolt that experienced them. So, now’s the time to go and seek out a pre-owned example of one these great battery-electric compacts from Chevrolet.
The Bolt presents the perfect opportunity to finally make the jump to the world of EV motoring thanks to its compact exterior dimensions yet roomy interior loaded with tech such as a fully digitized cockpit. With all the information provided by the displays, it’s easy to get the most out of any given charge.
Speaking of charge: the Bolt is good for 383 km in its original form that first appeared in 2018, which expanded to almost 420 km starting in 2020. Granted, some battery life and range is lost over time, but expect nothing less than about 260 km on a full charge from most any bolt you come across.
Of course, range is one thing but when it comes to EVs, charge times are of utmost importance as well. Every Bolt ever made can get charged via a level III DC fast charge, meaning charge times from 10-80 per cent happen in just over thirty minutes or so. Of course, you can always plug your Bolt in at the end of the day right at home, and never miss a beat.
Styling-wise, the Bolt pulls the neat trick of being well-suited to a 2022 street scene, but GM has been sure not to overdo it in the styling department because while one may love driving a modern electric vehicle, they don’t necessarily want it looking like a spaceship from another time.
Futuristic yet temporary, compact but comfortable and emissions-free: the order of the day when it comes to the Chevy Bolt.
