Chevrolet Trailblazer To Get Refreshed for 2024
February 20 2023,
The Chevrolet Trailblazer compact crossover was already a fun-looking, fun-to-drive and well-equipped option in the segment and for 2024, Chevrolet is tweaking the formula to add even more spice to the proceedings.
It starts with a new front fascia with new headlights and front bumper that has it looking a little edgier, tougher and more like its Blazer bigger brother. There’s a new rear bumper as well meaning now, like the Blazer, the Trailblazer now has a look that’s somewhat reminiscent of the Camaro sports car. In addition to the front fascia, there are new wheel designs – including a 19-inch option for the sportier RS model -- and two new colours: Cacti Green and Copper Harbour. With those colour choices, you can tell that we aren’t kidding when we say “a little more spice”.
Not to worry, however; the boxy proportions from the old model that looked so good and provided some nice interior room – especially in terms of headroom – return for 2024, meaning the Trailblazer will remain a spacious and comfortable vehicle, even when considering its subcompact dimensions.
Inside, said “spice” comes in the form of an 11” touchscreen infotainment display – a big step up over the outgoing model – as well as a 8” digital gauge cluster. There’s also optional wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Wi-Fi hotspot.
Power-wise, watch for two different turbocharged engines that both get a cylinder count of three. Power figures for the 1.2-litre come it at 137 horsepower, while the larger 1.3L option provides 155 hp, a fine number for a car with this small a footprint. Only the 1.3-litre model, however, gets an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option; front-wheel-drive (FWD) is standard on both models. Transmission options include a continuously-variable automatic (CVT) for the FWD, and a nine-speed automatic for the AWD.
Look for the new 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer to start arriving in showrooms in the fall of 2023.
